Kirsten Newcomer, Director of Product Management at Black Duck Software, has over 15 years of experience in software management, including product, program and partner management. Experienced in all phases of the software development lifecycle in organizations from small startups to large global enterprises, Kirsten has worked with development teams around the world, including the U.S., Canada and India. Prior to joining Black Duck Software, Kirsten worked at IBM Software Group, Rational Software and BMC Software. Kirsten has been an active member of the Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) Technical Team since 2011. Kirsten presented at LinuxCon Japan in 2012 on open source license compliance and SPDX, and has spoken numerous times at the Rational User Conference (now known as IBM Innovate). She also serves as an Alumni Trustee for Marlboro College in Marlboro, VT.
