Peter Szegedi

Peter Szegedi joined TERENA in January 2008. He is one of the Project Development Officers who develop and manage the task forces and contribute to technical projects and strategic programmes. He is currently the secretary of two TERENA task forces; TF-Storage (data

storage) and TF-NOC (network operation centres), as well as the coordinator of the network architect, the information security management and last but not least the real-time communications related activities. Peter looks after the NRENum.net service (the global ENUM service for academia) and the Open Educational Resource (OER) portal pilot (a TF-Media task force spin-off) and the ownCloud service at TERENA. He is currently the task leader of the EC-funded GN3plus (GEANT) project Testbed as a Service activity.

Peter Szegedi received his MSc degree in Electrical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics, in Hungary, in 2002. He then worked towards a PhD at the Department of Telecommunications. Peter worked for Magyar Telekom Plc. (the largest incumbent service provider in Hungary) as a Research and Development Manager between 2004 and 2008.
